View figures move more freely than reaction figures, which cuts both ways. A change of twenty is easy to produce and easy to miss, because the same shot may pick up ordinary traffic during the same window. If you want a reading you can attribute, run the sample against a shot that has been quiet for a while rather than one posted this morning.
Take the number before, take it again after the window closes, and resist checking in between. Your own visits are counted differently and repeated refreshes make the comparison harder to interpret than it needs to be.

Views are the metric most easily produced and therefore the one visitors weigh least, and a sample cannot tell you how much weight yours carries.
