Waiting until the broadcast finishes and then looking at the number. By then it has risen and fallen several times for reasons that have nothing to do with the order, and no amount of staring at the final figure separates them. Take the reading a few minutes after you open the stream, while the picture is still simple.
The second mistake is running it against a session you are not sure will happen. What the order adds exists only while the stream does, so a cancelled broadcast spends the allowance and teaches you nothing about the delivery.
Confirmation that the route reaches your channel and that the figure appears when you expected. What it cannot give you is any sense of how a fuller room behaves, which only becomes visible at a size a demonstration does not reach.
Treat it as a rehearsal for the mechanics rather than a preview of the effect. The two get confused constantly, and the confusion is what turns a working test into a disappointing one.
