Worth understanding before you go looking for the result. Whichever podcasts app somebody uses, the request for the audio file goes back to your hosting provider, and that is where a download is counted. So the figure lives in your host dashboard, not on any public page, and nothing about your episode looks different to a listener.
Hosts also apply the IAB filtering standard, which discards partial requests and duplicate calls from the same source within a day. That filtering is why your reported number and the raw request count are never the same.
