About this free trial

Reading a sample on a live platform

Numbers attached to a broadcast behave differently from numbers attached to a saved page: they exist while the session does and then settle. A sample of twenty is therefore a test of timing as much as of delivery, and the thing to watch is whether the figure appears in the window you expected rather than how high it goes.

What to have ready

  • A session you have actually scheduled, not one you might start.
  • The channel address copied from the platform rather than typed.
  • A note of the figure before delivery begins.

After the sample

If the figure appeared where and when you expected, the route works. What a sample cannot show is how a larger presence changes the way a listing reads to somebody scrolling a busy category, or whether it holds across a longer broadcast. Those only become visible at a size a demonstration does not reach.

Because its purpose is to show the route works on your channel, not to fill a room. Twenty is enough to be visible on a quiet stream and small enough to give away. The figure is not adjustable per account.
Timing matters more here than on almost anything else, because the delivery window and the broadcast window have to overlap. If plans slip, it is better to place the sample against a session you are confident about than to gamble on one you might postpone.
Yes, once the allowance has renewed, though most broadcasters do not bother. A second identical sample tells you the same thing about the same channel. The next question is usually about size and duration, which a sample cannot answer.
